Sundays and Mondays Tax Preparation – The VITA Program will be providing free income tax preparation for all ages and low income families on Sundays from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Mondays 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. January 29 - April 17. Participants will be required to register by calling TEAM at 203-736-5420 ext. 206.
Tuesdays and Thursdays Tax Preparation – AARP volunteers will be providing free income tax preparation from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday, February 2 - April 13. Participants will be required to register by calling 203-877-5131.
February 10 Friday Movie Matinee –1:00 p.m. “Hello, My Name Is Doris” Sally Fields & Max Greenfield /Romantic Comedy/ circa 2016. Inspired by insight gained through a self –help seminar, 60 year old Doris Miller brazenly steps forward to pursue the affections of a much younger co-worker and inadvertently becomes a hit with his hipster cohorts.

February 15 Wednesday Cooking Demo- 1:00 p.m. Happy and Hearty Cooking! Learn from a former chef how to prepare eggplant, gluten free veggies with rice and penne pasta pomadoro. February 22 Wednesday Mini-Health Fair- 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Acquire tips for being safe, active and healthy at this interactive presentation by students in the SCSU Nursing Program. Topics to be covered include: Blood pressure screening, the importance of vaccinations and healthy bingo.
February 27 Monday Super Bingo –10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Lunch break is from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Volunteer Event National Read Across America Day- Thursday March 2, 2017. Come share your passion for reading on Dr. Seuss’s Birthday! John F. Kennedy Elementary School would love to have you be one of our honorary readers. You will spend about 30 minutes in a class room reading a book you chose from our selection to the students.
